“Cynisca Reborn,” is a short film written by Columbus-based screenwriter Ryan Jaroncyk and based on the true story of his senior Olympic-medaling grandmother, Virginia Stenkel. Filmed in Columbus, Ohio, June of 2021, the short is already making waves on the film festival circuit.

In its first festival acceptance at the Treasure Coast International Film Festival, the film scored three nominations: Karen M. Chan for Best Performance, Stephanie A. West for Best Director, and Best Short Film.
