The Third Period is a feature-length drama set in the world of ice hockey from writer/director, and former Fox Sports Ohio reporter, Steph Greegor. It will be produced by Len Hartman of the Ohio Film Group. The film follows aging hockey star Mike Olsky, who must battle his way back from injury to win big in the third period of his life.
The film is being led by a team fluent in the world of ice hockey. Former Columbus Blue Jacket and Philadelphia Flyer R.J. Umberger is the film’s hockey consultant, while former assistant coach and Stanley Cup Champ Dan Hinote was the film’s script consultant on hockey-related items. See what Hinote had to say about the film here.

Also joining the film is former pro hockey player Chris Tschupp, who first played at Notre Dame before being drafted by the NHL’s Calgary Flames and playing four years in the ECHL. Read more HERE.
Joining the cast as Mike Olsky’s rival, Teddy Hendrix, is Myles Clohessy, a Division I athlete who played hockey for two years. You can catch him in the second half of this season’s hit show Quantico. Read more HERE.
Greegor created a proof of concept short film titled Olsky, an Emmy-nominated, festival-accepted 8-minute short that shows the brief moments after Mike Olsky must re-enter his life following a horrific accident. You can learn more about Olsky and watch it HERE.
