The Third Period is a feature-length drama set in the world of ice hockey from writer/director, and former Fox Sports Ohio reporter covering the Columbus Blue Jackets and NHL, Steph Greegor. It will be produced by Len Hartman of the Ohio Film Group. The film follows aging hockey star Mike Olsky, who must battle his way back from injury to win big in the third period of his life.
The film is being led by a team fluent in the world of ice hockey. Former Columbus Blue Jacket and Philadelphia Flyer R.J. Umberger is the film’s hockey consultant, while former Columbus Blue Jacket and NHL Journeyman Sean Pronger joins as an adviser. Stanley Cup Champ and current USA Hockey coach Dan Hinote was the film’s script consultant on hockey-related items. See what Hinote had to say about the film here.
Former Fox Sports Ohio hockey writer Steph Greegor wrote and will direct the film. Hear what she has to say HERE.
Joining the cast as the young superstar stud, Teddy Hendrix, is Myles Clohessy, a Division I athlete who played hockey for two years. Clohessy was a recurring character on TV’s hit show Quantico, as well as Blue Bloods and Instinct. Read more HERE.
Also joining the cast is Jami Tennille of the Academy Award-winning Manchester by the Sea.
